I have finally had time to finish my quilt to add to the lovely pile of quilts and blocks being collected for those who suffered devastation in the recent Queensland floods.
It's just a bunch of squares but they're pretty and soft and will hopefully bring some comfort to someone special.
I can't help but feel it's rather insignificant when I think of all the suffering people in QLD and Christchurch and now Japan are facing. But if it brings a smile to one little face then I suppose that's a good thing.
To see more of the lovely quilts being put together pop over to the Quilts for QLD flickr group and have a look.

It's absolutely beautiful. Cherrie
It's beautiful Louise. It's so hard to know what to do to help -- but a nice warm quilt is a great way to start.
A gorgeous gift that will certainly bring a well needed smile!!
Its so much more than 'just a bunch of squares'! Its beautiful and will mean so much to its recipient - hopefully they will feel something of the love that obviously went into it.
Pink, soft, girly - perfect!!!
It is beautiful and I am sure it will be well loved.
I'm sure it'll be a huge comfort to someone. It's beautiful and nothing beats the thought that there are people out there thinking of you... it'll be a treasure.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous! Both is spirit and design.
i love the design that would be more suitable on my personalized waist apron.
Just out and out gorgeousness! Do you think I need to stop embroidering oversized dead flies to be able to make a sweet and pretty quilt such as your beauty?
That would definitely bring a smile to my face. It's a lovely, happy quilt.

It is beautiful!
This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm sure it will be very much loved. I'm not confident in making actual quilts, but I sent up lots of blocks and I hope they can be incorporated into a lovely quilt that's even half as pretty as this one.
