Fancy a bag... or two?

Well it is definitely bag week at my house.

Yesterday was my girlfriend Michelle's Birthday. I made her a patchwork scarf after seeing this fabulous scarf by Belinda over at Tutti Fruiti. It's sort of a combination of all the versions she linked to. I then made her a bag to match and added a little flower to finish.

And then she surprised me with this absolutely stunning bag. Check out the vintage buttons, Amy Butler fabric and the gorgeous style. Thanks Michelle, I absolutely LOVE it.

Today it was my girlfriend Elizabeth's Birthday. I also made her a bag which was inspired by one of Molly Chicken's fab Japanese mags. Don't you love the birdy lining!

Ahhh... so much lovely bag happiness.

Now I'm off to do some knitting. The girls all want hats!

Louise, you did a fabulous job with the bags and the scarf, just gorgeous!!
I also love the fabric combo in the bag you received. It looks a little like a pattern I have seen my Melly & Me.

What a lovely gift!!

Great bags and gorgeous scarf. Until I saw Belinda's (and one somewhere else, my memory has gone) I had never really thought of fabric scarves. The blues and browns blend so well!!!

Oh wow! You DID have a bag weekend!

You'd be proud of me, I did make a curtain for my daughter's bathroom (but no tissue covers yet!)

Those fabrics are so awesome!! Can you recommend on online store to buy fabrics like those? All I have is a lousy Spotlight...

Shall I call you "The Bag Lady" ?? Louise, I love your bags and matching scarf, love your wonderful color combo's. I have been meaning to comment for a while, since you commented on my blog. I have been a lurker.. Anyhow..we both have Chloe's, they both love sunshine and art. My middle name is Louise, and I am a Taurus to...and I think we are almost the same age..and we love fabric and making things...I think we will be great blogging friends! Thanks for looking in and commenting on my blog. Really love your banner photo of your little lovely's feet and legs...so sweet.

Also, there is a pretty cool label maker on Etsy.com, I think she lives in Chicago. Her work looked nice, and the prices were really reasonable, unfortunately I don't know her name, but when I find it , I will send it your way. I do love the embroidered felt tag...very cute, but very time consuming...good luck...

Sorry Louise but you've been tagged.

The rules are simple: You must list 7 random things about you and then pass it on to 7 other blogs, linking to the blogs in your own blog and also telling them about it on their blog.

I could definitely get addicted to Japanese craft books myself!

I love the tea towel you picked up at Mikes. I have seen them hanging in the window and I must get one next time I am there.
