A little bit of this.........

Well we're in the home stretch now with one week to go before school starts. Good timing too as the girls are getting a little restless.

We've done a little baking....

Banana Cake

And a little eating....

Banana Cake

And a little shopping....

New Shoes

I wouldn't normally buy such girly shoes but these are just divine on and I HAD to have them!

And I have done a little bit of sewing.

A small quilt (about 12" squarish!) for a couple of Lucinda's little soft toys - Fred and Cindy.

Doll Quilt

Do you like the back? It's very Denyse Schmidt don't you think. You get that look by not basting before you machine quilt to get it done really fast!!!

Doll Quilt Back

I kinda like it!

The girls had a very nice picnic dinner in the garden with lots of friends. My husband organised this and apparently everything was eaten which just goes to show how important the venue and company is!!

Picnic Dinner

Little Daphne is making us laugh with her new style of dressing. Lots of bling and a backwards hat! All her own doing I swear!

Yo!

Tomorrow is her first day at day care with Mummy along to see how we go. It's my first time putting any of my children in child care and I have the best reason for doing so because as of Feb 5th I am going to be working at Amitie every Tuesday - yippee!!!

The shoes are FABULOUS! Of course you had to buy them. And I also love the back (and the front) of the doll quilt.

Have fun at Amitie! Don't spend more than you earn!

Big congrats on the job news! Although it sounds like too much fun to be called a real job.

And nice to see you spending your future paychecks too! Amazing shoes.

I'm sure Miss D will have a ball too. Thinking of you both.

I love the little quilt with the bike in the middle- I am convinced I have some of that fabric tucked away somewhere.
I wonder if you will be able to just take your pay in fabric?

That kids' vege plate looks almost identical to mine (apart from the broccoli). Gorgeous shoes, but I'd be so boring and wear them with only black!
And I SO will be coming into Amitie to ask your advice. Congratulations and good luck with it. They are such lovely women there, you'll fit right in!

The cake looks great - and yummy too. I love the blanket. Funny I drew up a design very similar a few weeks ago for my nieces birthday. Hopefully it looks as great as yours. I love the colors too!

Goodness, what a job! I've just been over to their website and can imagine quite how excited you must be (and also discovered what the fabric was that I'd loved on one of the elephant's ears that was pictured on the Melly & Me blog today!). Well done - I hope the nursery trial goes well too.

I love the little quilt that you made...I was going to ask you what fabric line you'd used for the reverse...but I think I now know where to look!

Thank you so much for your lovely, lovely smile-inducing comment that you left on my blog! X

Oh that picnic scene, if only my girls lived closer they could have had a party. We have cretions like that often.
Ella and Kate had a pink milk teaparty with Jo's girls last week.
Lots of fun!

The little doll quilt is cute and the back definately looks very Denyse Schmidt. I really like it, you probably wouldn't of been able to get that look if you tried you know... LOL!!
Gorgeous pics of the girls, too sweet...

Loving the backwards hat/bling look, I think it could catch on!

WooHoo! Congratulations on the new job -- lots of fun fabric posts in your future! That cake (and your little cherubs) look yummy! And then there's the quilt. I LOVE it! The colors, the pattern, everything. Too cute!

there is so much to say about your beautiful post it is hard to know where to begin! First, the shoes! They are gorgeous! Then the cake looks moist, dense and delicious. Your quilt is adorable - what fabulous colors and the slant on the back gives a wonderful effect. Finally, your daughter is so sweet. I love it when kids are allowed the freedom to express themselves with their outfits.

The girls picinc with friends looks wonderful!!! Love those kind of moments.

those shoes are so beautiful. The kids look like they had so much fun. Now, don't enjoy working at Amitie too much - remember it is a job - (hopefully I will be there as well, soon) - just think, you can fondle and feel all the fabric you like.

Hope the childcare works out for you. We'll catch up soon - maybe at Amitie?

Congrats on your new part-time job. I would spend too much money if I worked in a store like that. The party looks as though it was a beanie bear party, how fun for the girls!
