This is what I have been doing with my spare time.
I have had the idea to make this for my bed for a very long time.
And I have had the wool for a very long time.
Just no actual time to start it!
So how much time do you think will pass before this is finished?

Take all the time in the world Louise!
My mum made a blanket like that years ago, but with a black border instead of the cream. I do like it a lot and I know she has done some for friends as they liked them too. Maybe I should be dropping hints by her, don't cha think?
Oh, these are *all* my favorite colors right now! Lovely!
So fun, I have been wanting to make a blanket like this, we shall see when I actually get around to it, maybe once I am done making stuff for the baby:)
it's going to be so gorgeous.
Wow! What gorgeous little squares :-) These things are always so special in the end because of the amount of time spent on them. How long does it take you to do one square? And how many do you think will be needed for the whole blanket? It's going to be lovely and warm!!
I love the colors you're using!
Your colour combos are fantastic! Love the pink/green/blue combo.
Hmmm. We should have a pool. Whoever comes closest to guessing the finish date gets a prize. Do you think we'll all still be blogging then??? ;-)
Ooh! This is all so pretty! After reading your most recent post (I've been lurking), I'm inspired to start the crochet again, but I think I 'll need to get some candy coloured wool in the stash. And take your time...then we can all see who takes the longest.
there is a girl that I work with, and this is her favorite stitch...
I vote you take your time and by the time your ready to put it together it will be a happy little lap blanket just in time for winter... no matter the year :)
It's taken me about 2 years to do mine! So I suspect somewhere along that time frame. Very pretty. I just love mine too - so glad it is finished.
ohhhhh louise this is going to be beautiful.... I dont know how you manage to find any spare time in your full schedule!! Great work so far!!
How much time? Are they really big squares?
They are just lovely. I hope you are enjoying the process.
Love it! I have one I made, & I love it just as much today, as when I first put it all together.

It will be beautiful! Time really is a problem isn't it!!?
If you ring in sick in the near future I will know what you are doing!!
I have a yo-yo quilt I've been working on (on and off LOL) for years.
Making time slow down with a bit of homey crochet is just one of those nicest feelings in the world isn't it? Love your squares so far all that whiteness just makes those colours bounce so much more!!!
Such a happy craft this is!!! Wonderful work!
