Eggs, chickens, rabbits and leaves!!

Here I am..... over here, yes it's me - I'm back!!

Actually I haven't really been anywhere. It's school holidays and I have been just a tad busy with the children. And we haven't really done anything in particular but I do have a few bits and pieces to share with you.

First of all I have a couple of Easter photos.

The Easter Bunny left lots of yummy chocolate in the garden........

Easter loot

.. which Daphne thought was completely fantastic!

Mmmmmm choccie

Then we enjoyed a delicious lamb roast and chocolate cake at Mum's with the family.

Easter Cake

And speaking of bunnies, our friend Sophia got a lovely white rabbit for her Birthday so we decided to give her a little soft one.

A birthday rabbit for Sophia

The pattern is from here. Very cute and very easy! Happy 8th Birthday Sophia!

Rabbit softie

On the sewing front I have been mainly doing some hand quilting on the train quilt. As the lovely recipient's Mummy reads this blog I can't show it to you. Hopefully they won't have to wait too much longer.

I also made some aprons for the Stitches and Craft show to demonstrate how one pattern can be done in several different ways.

Apron

And for any Melbourne people who would like to know how to make a simple apron - look here. I'm doing an apron workshop!

Aprons 1 & 2

Simple apron No 1

Cathy is also running a workshop for her lovely children's clothes which is going to be hugely popular if the interest at the shop is any indication.

So did I tell you it's the school holidays?

Did I tell you it's Autumn?

This ......

Autumn Fun

...... is what you do when it's school holidays and Autumn!!

autumn fun

And Florence and Kathy who tagged me recently, I haven't forgotten and I will get to them soon I promise!

What beautiful photos Louise! Your girls are lovely! And yes it was good to have caught up with you on Saturday ... but I suggest you hide somewhere in the shop tomorrow (opps today ... already after 1am) as I'm bringing all 4 kids with me to collect some more fabric ... I'm sure there must be something there I don't have yet! :)

What a beautiful time you have all been having. My mum is here at the moment. Having help with the housework and to entertain the kids is so wonderful.
Cheers

Daph is so *you*, isn't she !

I see and match your IKEA bowls, by the way - mmm, chocolate - we're still going here.

Solved my skirt problem yesterday by the way ... the boy senior was at Kinder so the boy junior and I went op-shopping. Clothes that fit = ahh, sweet bliss ! :)

Love all the easter photos...lucky you having autumn leaves...we don't yet, they're all clinging on to their branches. :( I hope you managed to find the car under all the leaves.

Mum's cake looks lovely photographed...it tasted just as good too.

I love the aprons(knew I should have taken the floral one home with me) :)

love Michelle

I am finding it really cool to write to someone celebrating the coming of fall while I am awaiting spring growth in my gardens. I completely understand how busy it gets around the house with children. Glad to hear from you.

Lovely photos Louise. I see yet more Easter fun and chocolate cake, very nice. You are very skilled at what you do and everything you make is first rate and always using such colourful materials. I wish I had those leaves for my bin, rotted down they would make brilliant mulch for the garden! x

Loving those autumn leaves - that's what I like to do in autumn too. It's back to school tomorrow and I wish I could stay at home.

Hi! (again) yeah I did go to the living creatively stand at the stitches and craft show, I tell you what it was a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the other stands! I had a really great talk to Three Buttons and Miss Woolly, I think I must have been there on a day that you weren't there, I was there on the Sunday I think. I know Hollabee was there too, and someone making pretty fabric flower brooches, was that you?

I love the little bunny. Would love to get the pattern for it. When I clicked on the link for it, it said I wasn't invited to read the blog. Any idea how I can get invited to the blog so I can get the pattern? Thanks so much!
