I'm supposed to tag some people and I'm pretty sure lots of you have done this before, however, I would like to tag a couple of new blogging friends. Firstly Kellie who is a local blogger with a very cute family and she makes the most gorgeous quilts. And second Celandine a lovely blogger who I discovered last week. She makes and sells all sorts of lovely stuff. Go and say hi to them both.

The quilt is a wedding gift for my Brother in Law who is getting married this weekend (yes it will be a late present!) The pattern is the very popular Aunt Bec's 9 Patch from Amitie and is super easy and always really striking. It is going off to be quilted this week which is a first for me and I can't wait to see how it comes up. Now I'm off to bed - I have to 'work' tomorrow you know!!

Love the quilt Louise! And the meme too -- it's one of my favorites. Do you suppose we have some of the same weird Nigerian friends LOL? And I just read 84 Charing Cross Road a few months ago and LOVED it. My mom got me the movie for Christmas ('cause she loves it) -- she's reading the book now and when she's done we'll watch the movie together -- I can't wait!

Great meme, Louise! Glad to know you're loving it at Amitie, too. When I grow up I wanna work in a fabric shop, too. And your quilt top is stunning! You've got to post it again once you've quilted and bound it.

Your quilt is stunning! I really love it, the combination of fabric and colours is so pretty and modern at the same time.

Adding it to the hand quilting pile?

How funny, I am going to a babyshower in April, and the colour the mum to be would like for gifts is grey (they are very alternative, think Elle Decoration minimalist home). I have been starting to look for grey fabrics, and they are so hard to find, it does not seem to be a popular colour for quilts. I just love yours, it looks so modern. The touch of red in it is fab.
Thanks for the award by the way, have a great time at the wedding.

Just have to say how much I'm enjoying Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares too. I'm a reality tv fan from way back. The outrageous abuse he lashes out with and f-bombs in every sentence have us greatly amused.
Great quilt too - amazing in fact.

Just stopping by to say how much I love the fabric combination in this quilt. It's right up my alley. Are they from the Amitie range? Perhaps some that can be ordered online?
